As a general rule I dislike ice more than I dislike snow. Ice on roads is definitely dangerous, and ice on trees can often cause problems. But sometimes ice on trees can be beautiful. I got this photo of tree tops across the street from our house on a January afternoon last year.

We have ice today and the roads are a mess!
Hello Gregore!
I do not like winter, I do not like icing ...
Photo lovely.
Waiting for spring.
I wish you a nice weekend.

The ice covered trees are lovely, especially with the sunlight on them.
That is beautiful if enlarged to the largest size.
The light shinning through the ice and reflecting off of the ice makes a unique sculpture.
Yes, ice is not good for anyone. It does make for pretty pictures though.
i always love the way it looks in the trees - wish it was easier to walk & drive on though??! ha. ha!! you guys have a great weekend!! ( :
The only time ice is beautiful is when the sun is shining through, the rest of the time it's dangerous!
Good photo, George!

Very pretty but oh, how I hate to slip/fall on ice. You guys stay warm!
Snow decorates your life.
Ice can create a beautiful crystal like look on trees. However, if I had a choice, I would go with snow. We had the worst ever ice storm here last month, I hope I never see that again.
Great looking trees. A silver decoration in place.
When we see more of beauty we see less of problems.
A great capture!
Beautiful capture, George! The lighting and ice does create the perfect photo op. Have a great day!
The icy trees look beautiful George. Hope you are having a lovely weekend :)
lol I lived in Montreal and we had SOOOOO much snow every ear and yet I remeber using the bus in these piles of snow and they never stopped and people never complained. We loved the snow and loved the shoveling, snow man making, snow forts, snow ball fighting. Every one had smiles and rosy cheeks.
It was part of life for both the young and the old.Today people are wooses including me. we always complain even with small things like black ice but I never saw as many people back then with knee and back problems like I do today.
Here every second person is affected by something.
Awesome shot and light! Some sights are enjoyable yet dangerous reaching it.
great shot and framing!
simply beautiful!
Glittering like jewels!
great capture, love that sparkly effect on those branches.
Nice to see the beauty of nature through your lenses. I love seeing photos here and at Betsy's.
Hi George, the iced trees certainly look beautiful and it look like crystals. But ice on the road is very dangerous.
Take care and best regards.
