I keep trying, without a great deal of success, to get a decent picture of the moon. It seems to be a hit-or-miss affair, but I consider this photo, from my archives, a hit. I like both the color of the moon and the fact that if you look closely you can make out some of the craters on the surface.

I share your frustration, George. Some people are sooo good at taking moon shots, but not me.

you & me both George. i hope you will give me some tips. i have tried for years. i am about to give up on taking the moons picture. it is so tough. i get some really wild views though. never what i am hoping for??! ( :

Very, very good George. What aperture, shutter speed, and focal length is that? I do NOT have very good luck taking pictures of the moon. Seems like I always get a lot of glare.
