Hardy Falls

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

A waterfall near the top of a mountain often has a low water flow since the watershed is likely to be small. Mount Magazine is the highest point in Arkansas, and Hardy Falls is fairly near the top. When we visited Mount Magazine there was a fair amount of water coming down the creek which made for a pretty little waterfall.

so peaceful to look at. when I enlarged i see incredible details, dead leaves, a tiny little waterfall beside the big one, colors in the water of the rocks. lots to look at here. I wonder if it ever gets to be a rushing waterfall when snow and rain melts

Such a cute, dainty fall! This would be a good waterfall for a child to play in!

It may be small, but its path is quite impressive. Beautiful!

And why do I have the feeling that the water is very, very cold…

Small waterfalls can be just as awesome as bigger ones indeed!
