Northrup Falls

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

It's possible to get some interesting perspectives when it's possible to walk behind a waterfall. I was behind Northrup Falls near Jamestown, Tennessee, when I got this picture of water coming over the rim.

I do not have that experience, but must be feeling very interesting to be behind a waterfall.

What a fantastic view. This is a side of the water falls one doesn't get to see usually.

A very refreshing perspective! I must admit I would be tempted to put on shorts with this one and stand under it. Behind must be so very slippery, I'd think you need to wear shower shoes to get there safely!

Methinks I'm caught up here ... enjoyed all your waterfall and flower photos (the icy trees too) but my favorite is that beautiful evening sky with the silhouetted trees you shared on March 13th ... it's amazing!
Hugs and blessings,

Ooh! Wonderful! It's so rare that you can get under one without having to go through the water too.

It looks like a great place to take a shower, George. Although it might be a little chilly right now, in the summer it would cool a hiker right off.

It is not easy to go under a waterfall!

Going behind a waterfall is every kids thrill. I used to imagine hiding behind one such place and have my own cave to use like a tree house. We get such wonderful imaginations from stories like Zorro who lead two lives. The secret one is the exciting one.:)
