Tallulah River Gorge

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

The picture above was taken in June of last year at what has become one of our favorite places to visit -- Tallulah Gorge State Park in Georgia. The top of Oceana Falls, one of five major falls in the gorge can be seen at the bottom of the photo. The river is about 750 feet below the overlook from which the picture was taken.

Isn't this just breathtaking !
I was fortunate to visit the Roayal Gorge, in Canon City, Colorado, I shall be forever in awe of places like this....
When I enlarged the picture, it brought back those feelings of being a witness to majesty.
Wonderful !!

This is awesome. With clicking, you can see much more detail, especially the blueness of the water and the very top of the fall with the water coming down.

Well this is one we have been to George and its a beauty. The hiking trail are great and take you to beautiful places. It is a bit rugged but well worth it.
George, your photo is wonderful and a lovely reminder of our visit there.

I guess the climb down to the that river was not a good idea.
But after such a long trek it would have been good to sit and wet your feet a bit. I always love to do this while watching the water flow.lol
Splendid!
