An Experiment
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
I was experimenting with manual settings on my camera with my macro lens using one of our roses that was still blooming as a subject. This is more 'artistic' than the photos I normally take, but I like the color and the folds of the half-open bud.

You have done a great job.
It is so outstanding.
That's really pretty George!
It's beautiful! The flower looks like paper! And how delicate...
Good week, my dear friend.
Kisses with love.
Beautiful shot. It has come pretty good.
you found a good setting, i like it,kind of smooths the edges a little. its beautiful and so intricate in the center.
An Amazing shot! Love it.
This is poetry.....Awesome!
Exceptional photo George!
Very pretty and almost an underwater look. Very waverly (I know-not a word but it fits).
My daughter showed me some different setting on my camera and I was amazed I could do all that but I just put it on Auto and shoot away. MB
The color variations on this are beautiful, very subtle, and I like the angle. You should experiment more!!
Experimenting worked! Some of the grandest views are in the smallest things. Really lovely- teri
Breathtaking Rose! It looks like paper silk, love the deeper color in between the folds...Cheers from Maine, Linda
You did "good" George...this is beautiful...
Excellent shot.The color is exceptional.
Brill shot George, I like these sort of shots.
Beautiful, exquisite and poetic.
I like the shot a lot, too. I need to find time and sit down and play with my camera - - - but first, I really, really need to make sure it is on auto settings before I click each time. I missed some good stuff today.
Beautiful perspective.
For a while, I thought you experiemnted on the Roses. a beautiful doft colour. I am sure Betsy loved it.
Keep in experimenting with your camera. You are doing a great job.
You always exceed yourself George This is a fantastic shot. Guess you don;t have frost yet. We don;t usually but today the ice seems not to be melting.
In November.... We don't usually have anything like this till end of January.
:)
this is a neat shot George. love the different tones of colour and textures.
It's a wonderful effect, George. It looks like a painting! And without having to use Photoshop too. ;)
