Autumn Color Remembered
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
The autumn color is just about gone from the Plateau -- most of our trees are now bare. But the colors were wonderful while they lasted. This picture was taken on the Cherohala Skyway.

The colors are especially pretty against the clear, blue sky!
Too bad this doesn't last The colors are so beautiful. While the rest of BC is full of snow we just have ice and it hasn;t melted. The house carries drafts of cold air from outside. Because most houses are gas heated, and usually the climate is mild, they make these airy houses on purpose so as to prevent gas explosions. lol
