The View From Balsam Mountain
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
On our trip to Maggie Valley last month, we took a side trip off the Blue Ridge Parkway to Balsam Mountain in North Carolina. This is the view of the Smokies from Mile High Overlook along Balsam Mountain Road.
I Googled it, and there's no such word as Balsam! Perhaps everyone who lives there puts balsamic vinagrette on their salad. Hmmm. I thought there was Balsam wood...
George!!! I love this picture! Awwwweee I so miss Tennessee aleady with all of it's beautiful colors. What a beautiful trip the two of you had! Have a fabulous day!

Balsam put me in mind of Christmas trees. I've always liked the fragrance of balsam.
