Flowers From Our Yard: Blatant Iris
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)
The days are getting cooler here on the Plateau in Tennessee, and we've had frost advisories at night. The trees are beginning to show autumn color, and we have iris in bloom. This picture of our Blatant Iris was taken last Friday.

Good Morning, George. This is such a lovely iris. Wishing you a good day.
George, enjoy the season change and your pretty flowers. We are not having any thing like that here. It is below 100 tho.
We are also seeing the temperatures dipping over here... days are certainly getting cooler...
spectacular!!!
We are just plain dull this end. It's like nothing ever changes lol
Having this garden sure is a joy for you and Betsy :)
Just on Friday! Gosh, it has been really cold here for days. There have been no irises (iri?) here for a very long time. This is one of your prettiest!!! And I'm being blatant about that. Your Painted Desert from Monday is strangely beautiful, looks like another planet.
It is as beautiful in fall as in spring.
This is a beautiful Iris George. I can see I will love following your blog as I do Betsy's. Such beautiful pictures..Susie
the colors are gorgeous.
Blatantly beautiful, I'd say.
What a wonderful name:)

This iris looks like it's dressed for fall, George. It's a beauty.
Iris are gorgeous - - - frilly yet a bit hardy.
Oh, I bought a couple of this variety! I hope it will be as beautiful as yours.
