Moon Over the Glade
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)
In late July we were treated to the moon and some beautiful peach-colored clouds in the sky over the Glade at sunset. After the sun dropped below the Plateau I concentrated on the moon and was pleased with the craters I captured near the moon's south pole.

That's a great shot George!
singing Peach Moon to the tune of Blue moon
Beautiful!
That is amazing George .
You must have a terrific camera to get such a close view of the surface of the moon.
You captured this phase of the moon so well. Looks like the sky had no clouds!
It looks like the moon is emerging from the sky.
What an intense and beautiful capture, so lovely.
I bet you could see where you were going with a bright Moon like that george.
It can be a very haunting site on certain nights...
Makes me think of a lima bean. Odd shape. Great shot!
The moon has got acne. Love your new header.
Lovely...
That's a brilliant capture!
Nice moon shot! I'm impressed with the detail, especially the craters.
Whoa! Too good!
Perfect exposure. NICE!
We have a blue moon coming up too at the end of this month, George. I bet we see lots of shots of it when it occurs! :-) This is a really nice picture of the waxing moon!
