If you've visited here very often, you know that we think the Smoky Mountains are pretty special. We enjoy visiting them in all seasons. We also enjoy taking photographs of all that beauty, but a picture really doesn't do a good job of capturing all that beauty. I've been experimenting with panoramas, hoping that they might do a better job of conveying the beauty of the mountains and sky.
This is my first attempt at creating a panorama. I shot the three photos that make it up on the Foothills Parkway in late October.

It’s a breathtaking panorama! Done a great job stitching the shots, George.
This is beautiful, George. I love the autumn foliage against the blue sky and those smaller 3D clouds.
i enlarged it George and it is perfect and amazing. i clicked a second time and could almost count the leaves. so beautiful. great job
Awesome! Have a lovely weekend.
You did an excellent job because it does give the depth and even the "curve" of the view. I LOVE the Smokeys, too. I grew up in the Catskills and Adirondacks of NY and these feel like home.
Fantastic display of colors.
It is a beautiful shot. You are lucky to see such great panoramas.
Excellent panorama, George. Beautiful area in a beautiful season. MB
It is gorgeous, George! Did you have to stitch it together or did you take it all in one shot?
Gorgeous! When enlarged it makes it almost feel like I'm standing right there.
What beautiful captures, and seamlessly composed together. The tones are gorgeous.
Beautiful in every respect, George. That sky is awesome. And the fall colors...just stunning.
it's beautiful! i always forget to try panorama!
What gorgeous colors!!
Well done George!
This is a stunning landscape! The fall foliage and that sky combined to make this perfect.
Wow...I'd say you nailed it George; Gorgeous!
A wonderful first attempt! And of one of my favorite places in the whole world! I enlarged it, and just sat here at my computer screen drinking it in...Ahhhhh!
I know. Such beautiful sights are breathtaking You feast your eyes and can't get enough.
The world is spectacular!!
I enlarged it, and it's perfectly seemless! Great job, George! And it's a gorgeous scene too.
How about telling us more about your dog Panda? What kind of dog was it? Was it a he or a she?
It looks wonderful! Good job!
This must be very interesting which I have not experienced before.
An awesome view!! I'm a panorama devotee - Australian landscapes just BEG for it - but often have a problem keeping the horizon straight!! You've done an excellent job of it!!
