Northrup Falls

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

One of the waterfalls nearest our home is Northrup Falls.  To get to the falls it is necessary to hike down into a cove, a pleasant hike on a sunny January day.  The stream feeding the waterfall is not large, but there was a good flow when we visited a few years ago.  If you look closely you can see Betsy on the trail that goes behind the falls.

I didn't see Betsy until you pointed her out. Her presence adds perspective to the picture. The waterfall is much larger than I originally thought, before I noticed Betsy standing there.

I never knew there were so many different falls until I met you guys. This one looks like a girl's long hair that has been braided. Not doing much visiting as not up to par.

This looks like an almost gentle fall, the kind that you two could shower under!!! Next time bring your bathing suits!!

Great shot! If it weren't for Betsy I would not have known how tall the falls are. Wow!

Oh gosh! She sure lets you see how big those falls are being so tiny behind them lol
Otherwise I would have thought they were a small fall.
I like the small ones.
