We were driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina earlier this month on a cloudy, overcast day. We came to an overlook near Shining Rock that gave us a view of the clouds in a valley below us.

Beautiful sight! I went to a gospel singing yesterday at John Stratton Meadows - and it ws cloudy and cool when we started the meeting at 9:00a. Clouds and mist hung around until we left - and we could see it below us - then drove through a heavy rain as we came down the mountain into Tellico Plains. A beautiful day!
Great view! You must have been pretty high up in the mountains! I regret that we have no mountains in my country, only a few hills, which are never that spectacular.

I enlarged the pic. It is a beautiful shot. It is fun to look down on clouds. They are so delicate and soft-looking. Makes you want to land on one - - - but it wouldn't support us. We just have to imagine the illusion.
