San Felipe de Neri Rectory Garden
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
When we were in Albuquerque in June, we went to see the church of San Felipe de Neri, which was constructed in 1793. We got there too late in the day to see the interior of the church, but we were able to enjoy the rectory garden.

Ciao George, the gardens of the churches and convents are an oasis of peace !!!!!!!.
George, this looks like a place inviting me to come and sit for my early morning Bible read. It has that relaxed feel to it.
could not see the drawing, kept getting a blogger error. image that, a blooger error, who ever heard of that? beautiful place to visit
such a peaceful setting. If only life were like that :)
Looks like a beautiful and peaceful place!
It is quite lovely, and does look Spanish. Now if only there were a place to sit...
I love to visit old churches. We have several here in California. Mission San Juan Capistrano is only about 40 miles form where I live. It's well worth a visit if your ever in the area.
Beautiful photo...isn't it something neat to see things that old...we don't get to see very many here in the US.
Built in 1793 wow that is too old I could only imagine how intricately well designed the inside of the church. Happy Thursday!
Seems like a calm and peaceful place. I would enjoy walking around there.
I've blown through Albuquerque twice. I really, really need to stop and explore that place!
I missed to see the interior as well.
I loved down in that part of the country. Would like to go back and do more sightseeing.
They have a lovely garrden.
That is a beautiful garden. These places are oases, ministries unto themselves. Thanks, George.
looks so peaceful. love the well-trimmed trees.
What a lovely garden. That lily is spectacular too--always a beautiful flower. Have a great weekend. Mickie ;)
That's a fountain or bird bath?
A place to soothe the soul. And I I checked out the drawing and liked it very much. I think I'll have to learn how to sketch in Photoshop!
I too have missed out the interiors of many churches and had to be content with just the shots of the exteriors. You got a good capture.
This garden is really beautiful and seems very quiet. Beautiful photo.
I remember when I was about 12 years old, how I thought it was strange that a church building would ever be closed.
