66 Cafe in Albuquerque
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
Betsy and I had dinner at the 66 Cafe in Albuquerque. The cafe is on historic route 66, and is decorated in the style of a 50s diner. While we were eating this clock and jukebox caught my eye.
Great picture, George! That juke-box looks identical to the one I wasted many a quarter in playing Jerry Lee Lewis "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On". I was 14/16 in New Orleans and the "hang-out" was just around the corner from our house.
Juke boxes bring back a great many memories for many people. Nice post. I also saw your post for that's My World, and I agree with you that it's great to meet other bloggers. On the second of January I met the two Greek bloggers Marina and Antigoni with their husbands and children. They are such nice people. And in April I met Kay Davies and her husband from Canada. That was great too. We talked and talked as if we had known eachother for a long time. I can understand that you and Betsy had great times with your blogging friends.
I'm a happily married retiree living on the Cumberland Plateau of Tennessee. I taught for 31 years and worked as a systems analyst for 9 years before retiring.

Looks like fun. Was the menu Americana - - - hamburgers, shakes, etc?
Does the jukebox still work? It makes a great nostalgic photo, George. :)
