Flowers From Our Yard: Simplon Lily
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
We have a flower bed near the road in front of the house, and one of the things in that bed is Simplon Lily. There are only two plants, but they have put on a display for a couple of weeks now. I've seen people stop just to admire them. They also have a very pleasing fragrance.

lovely, I like to walk round my neighborhood looking at flowers. If you live in Auckland, you will see me walking by,
Wonderful display and the sweet fragrance is a bonus!
incredibly gorgeous, very soothing to the eyes.
now we know that Simplon Lily are simply beautiful
I saw that on Betsy's post. I am impressed with the profusion of blooms!
I am glad you still have some flowers to enjoy. It is a hopeless case here.
Betsy has these on her blog today, as you know by now. She likened them to dotted swiss fabric. And she is right. They make a fabulous show in a bunch!
Don't be surprise if I am one of them who stop by.
They are just gorgeous, I can only imagine how fragrant they smell.

They sure are lovely! I'm not surprised people stop to admire them.
I LOVE white lilies...just love them! I have Madonna Lilies, which I enjoy every June.

You have so many beautiful flowers growing in your yard, you need to post a photo of your entire yard.
These two make an impressive partnership! What beauty.
What delicate beauty. I like how you made the white stand out against a dark background to great effect.
That is a intoxicating display.
This is a beauty!! I would love to stop by too if I see this kind of flower, it's gorgeous!

I misread the name of the lily as "Simpleton". :) Your beautiful Simplon lilies would have me stopping to admire them too. Great photo!
lovely arrangement!
