Flowers From Our Yard: Peppermint Splash Rose

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

Peppermint Splash is one of the more unusual roses that we have in our yard. I think this picture shows how it got its name, and why I always want a piece of candy each time I go past it.

The patches of color are beautiful.

They add life to the rose.

Somehow you don't expect it to smell like a rose, exactly, do you? More like, well, peppermint!
